A ball of hope

All Yarnaholics are welcome hereπŸ’—

Needles, yarn, and a cup of tea—my perfect moment at any time of the day. I knit, so I am always armed with scissors, needles and a ball of yarn, so don't mess with meπŸ˜›

Untangling the tangled yarn needs a lot of patience, just like in life. We need patience when life throws us its ball of tangles. When you are a beginner, at first, you don't get it, but as you progress, the pattern starts to form, and you will get a hang of where it's all going.

Taking out the needles, grasping the yarn between your fingers, and twisting can unravel your problems even during your worst days. Is life a combination of knits and purls? A knit and a purl and a purl and a knit and then a knit and a knit and a purl and a purl. There are many ways to solve a particular problem, and each person has a different beginning of life. All that matters is that, in the end, we form that beautiful pattern of stockinette and garter stitch.

Some of my stash 😊

Each of us is unique, and so are our patterns. Two people knitting using the same size and type of needles can make stitches of different sizes and tension. But even though their pattern looks different, they both can make gorgeous stitches.

The only way to get going is to start. There are a dozen ways to cast on; it is based on the individual's skills. What works for one need not necessarily work for the other. We just have to use our creativity. You can copy and paste, but not always, for if all you do is copy and paste, how will you taste the fruit of your labour?

I knit to forget all my adult problems. Knitting is relaxing, knitting is a sanctuary. Nothing is worrisome in life anymore once you start knitting. It is a temporary bliss.

Something handmade is extra special! It's a proud moment to wear what you made. It need not be perfect, but it's made with your own hands with love. You put your soul into it, and it makes all the difference. A handmade gift is not just made without much thought, it's put in with the heart, love and soul of someone who gave it to you.

We are Knitters!

It is ok to make mistakes. Learning from them on the go and creating that wonderfully beautiful stitch at the end matters. So let's not be so hard on ourselves. Let's be forgiving. After all, we are knitters!

With the ball of hope, let's make stunning stitches that will say our names even after we leave this earth! This blog is dedicated to all you knitters out there! Keep knitting! 😊
